⊹ Eisenhower and You

Claude and I are on some coding adventures, and I cannot quite believe how easy it is bring ideas to life. First up: dynamic tools to assess prioritization and identity.

⊹ Eisenhower and You
A peak at the back and forth with Claude in the creation of "The You, You-er"

Okay, so that vibe coding stuff I was talking about? I'm now fully hooked.

I channeled my 3D productivity energy this past week into two additional projects. These are still buggy and need more testing and adjustment, but they're in good enough shape that I feel comfortable displaying them on my site and talking about them here.

The Eisenhower-er

The first one is called The Eisenhower-er. The Eisenhower Matrix is a quintessential prioritization tool, commonly discussed in attention and time management lessons. With Claude Code doing the heavy lifting, I made a tool that can show a user how their priorities actually filter into the matrix. I also added a couple sample prioritization buttons so folks can see what balanced, proactive, and reactive prioritization looks like.

The next step here would be to add additional insights based on user-generated matrices. I need to set some parameters to define what various result categories could look like, and then I could write up some guidance on how the user could potentially move toward more proactive prioritization — the more "Box 2," the better!

The You, You-Er

The second project is called The You, You-er. I know, weird name! But I dig it.

Regular readers of this blog know how obsessed I am with identity exploration and examination. The instrumental inquiry: what makes you, you? It's a deceptively complex question, and some of the more interesting insights come from evaluating your answer to the question as it changes over time.

This new tool allows someone to select a number of potential identity traits, including a preference for how strongly that identity piece should be represented in the end product. Then there's a simple visualization to see those traits fill up a person's profile.

As with The Eisenhower-er, there's plenty of bug testing and adjustment that needs to be done here. But as a starting point, I'm pretty happy with the end product.

It is truly wild that I was able to create both of these tools with Claude. Not only was "I" able to create the underlying code, but it helped me figure out how to post the things I was creating on my personal website, and then have them feed naturally into the blog. Along the way, I'm learning quite a bit about how these systems feed into each other.

It's fair to say that this is the first moment that I've truly taken a step back and been in awe over what an AI tool could do for me. I have found other intentional usages along the way, but this one is continually blowing my mind.

I see more 3DP tool creation in my near future. And I don't mind that it gives me an excuse to create some relatively unhinged graphics on Canva, though one of them likely means I'll be haunted by the ghost of Eisenhower for toying with his likeness.

Give the tools a whirl and let me know what ya think! The more feedback I get, the more effective I can make them, and the more I can help folks unlock their productive potential without losing sight of their humanity.

Yours, yours,

-Rye

p.s. Some users are still having weird access issues when they try to visit the blog. If you get an error, please let me know so that I can try and diagnose the the issue. It's driving me a bit nuts!
